How many moments does my organisation need to submit for each national audit period?

Modified on Fri, 17 Apr at 3:26 PM

The HHCApp will automatically calculate your required moments for the National Audit period based on the number of acute beds that you enter.

You might want to review:

When you log into the HHCApp, click on the Organisation > Details tab, you will now see:

  • The bed number field has been replaced if you are a dental facility (now number of chairs) or day procedure service (number of procedures per year). If your organisation is an acute hospital, the number of beds field will still exist
  • A new required moments field is visible and auto calculated based on the bed number/number of chairs/number of procedures per year input by the organisation.

Please see below answers to some common questions on this topic:

What is an acute bed?

An acute (inpatient) bed is a bed designated for occupancy by a patient who has been admitted for acute care.

My hospital also has dental chairs/and or does outpatient dialysis/haematology, what do I record?

If it is an acute hospital, then only record the acute bed number and disregard the chair number or procedure volume.

My hospital is a mental health facility, what do I record?

If your organisation does not have any acute mental health beds, then these beds should not be included in the bed numbers recorded in the HHCApp.
